Why Donate to Camden Meals on Wheels?
Camden Meals on Wheels is a registered Australian charity and is primarily funded by the Australian Government, Department of Social Services. However this funding goes directly to the subsidy of meals and charity operations. As the demand for services grows, we need more vehicles, bigger and better infrastructure to cater for the local community sufficiently.
People are welcome to donate gifts, vouchers and money.
Donating Gifts & Vouchers
Gifts and vouchers that are donated are used to reward our volunteers throughout the year. Meals on Wheels volunteers work tirelessly to keep all operations running smoothly – this includes delivering meals, transporting clients and participating in social support services. Gifts and vouchers are also used in our fundraising raffles throughout the year.
Most years we have an Easter Raffle and a Christmas Raffle, sometimes we have other themed raffles depending on how many donations we get through the year. The more gift and voucher donations we receive, the more funds we can raise!
Donating Money
We accept money donations via the form on this page, which uses Cognito Forms and Stripe as a secure method of transferring funds online. All funds donated go towards improving the administration, operation and our capacity to deliver a high quality service in the local Camden area. Our three services areas are Meals, Social Support and Transport. Our big goal is to move our operation to a new, bigger location so we can expand our service. Thanks to many fantastic, generous individuals and businesses in the local area, Camden Meals on Wheels is able to continue caring for Camden since 1970.
