Easter Cafe, with RB Volunteers
On Wednesday 24 March, we celebrated our Easter Cafe at our Little Street site. After five days of torrential rain, we were greeted with bright sunshine, which was just as well as we were booked solid and needed to be able to open our doors!
We were so lucky to have the support of Angela and Jessica from RB (parent company of brands including Glen 20 and Pine O Cleen) to bring our cafe to life. Angela and Jessica joined us in helping to setup the cafe and serve our clients with meals, drinks and shared plenty of laughter.
RB, in partnership with Woolworths and Meals on Wheels have launched an initiative to supply clients of Meals on Wheels with Hygiene Packs. Each purchase of Glen 20 and Pine O Cleen products in Woolworths from 24 March until 4 May 2021 will trigger the donation of a Hygiene Pack for our clients.
Angela and Jessica have been advocates of Meals on Wheels for some time, supporting a number of corporate activities to help Meals on Wheels and our clients. Angela said “It was great to see the programs and initiatives that Meals on Wheels operate brought to life.”
Our clients were thrilled to be there, enjoyed a delicious roast beef lunch, followed by tropical cheesecake for dessert.
